The swanky new fit out with the different dining/drinking/outdoor spaces lends itself to long lazy lunches and a regular place to stage after work drinks. As for the menu, head chef Tushad Bamji has gone for down home barbecue dude food with smokehouse meats the main event, think: sticky beef spare ribs, pulled pork shoulder, Kansas-style buttermilk chicken and beef brisket. Smaller, lighter fare is also in the mix with dishes like the smoked trout salad with kipfler potatoes and a watercress and cumin mustard dressing.

Come the weekend, brunch is served from 11.30 until the afternoon with a stellar line up of fried eggs, sausages, Texan toast and maple bacon which will settle any, er, digestion 'issues' from the night before. Or you can just go directly into hair of the dog territory via one of the 16 on-tap beers or 40 bottled varieties. #nojudgement
