Aside from the odd couple of freaky 31-degree days and the return of daylight savings (cue fist pump), Sydney hasn't quite morphed into spring yet. Sure, there's enough pollen in the air to send us all running to the chemists for a supply of antihistamines and eye drops, but we're still waiting for the weather to adjust and kick into full rearing-towards-summer mode. But if there's anything that helps to take the edge off, it's the thought of a new spring menu by one of Paddington's finest gastropubs - that would be the Four in Hand by Guillaume Brahimi.
Here to tempt our tastebuds with the kind of light spring fare just made for sipping with a glass of prosecco or pinot gris, the Four in Hand's new menu boasts highlights like yellow fin tuna, avocado, jalapeno and prawn cracker (pictured); king prawns, olives, almond, chimichurri and nashi pear; and swordfish with a tomato and fish broth, diamond clams, turnips and rouille.
Bolstered by a new spring cocktail menu which includes a salted caramel espresso martini (vodka, salted caramel, kahlua & espresso) or a Midnight Run (VDKA6100, house-made strawberry and rose syrup, lemon, Madeira sercial) - we're thinking it's the perfect reason to book a boozy catchup with your pals, yes?
Four in Hand is located at 105 Sutherland St, Paddington NSW 2021
