Update: tickets go on sale today for the Margaret River Gourmet Escape food festival, with the full program now up here. Our top picks? The Audi Gourmet Beach BBQ on Castle Bay Beach, where Matt Moran, Guillaume Brahimi and other renowned chefs will cook up a feast from the sand; and the new Dining on the Jetty at the gorgeous Geographe Bay with Rick Stein.
The Margaret River Gourmet Escape is a highlight of all foodie's calendars - the three day culinary extravaganza draws a crowd from across the country. But this year, things are really heating up, with today's news that internationally acclaimed chef Marco Pierre White (the man currently terrorising Masterchef contestants every evening) is headlining the event.
Joining Pierre White are over 40 of the world's leading food and wine industry luminaries, six of whom have restaurants on San Pellegrino's World's 50 Best list. Australian-based chefs participating include Tetsuya Wakuda, Matt Moran, Guillaume Brahimi and George Calombaris.

The highlight of this year's festival sees Pierre White host an intimate Q&A over dinner at the Vasse Felix Winery with some of his top alumni in tow. The dinner will see the chefs create classic dishes from Pierre White's Michelin-star restaurants, using the very best produce the Margaret River wine region has to offer.
