All the better to sample a wider variety of the wines owner Alicia Wadsworth has sourced from around the world. A member of the Commanderie du Bordeaux, which represents Bordeaux Wines, and a graduate of the Gastronomicom Wine School in Languedox, South of France, it's safe to say Wadsworth - who also holds her Wine Spirit Education Trust levels 2 and 3 and a Diploma from the Sydney Wine Academy - knows her vino.

She's pouring her knowledge into the newest wine bar to hit Double Bay, Mistelle, a "Parisian bistro meets New York" with an emphasis on share plates and quality ingredients, from grass-fed meats to sustainable seafood, as well as a solid selection of international cured meats and cheeses. In other words: good food that goes well with good wine.

Grab a seat alfresco and kick things off with a cocktail or two before delving into the extensive wine list; Mistelle is open day and night from Tuesday through to Sunday.
