If you've taken a stroll through Walsh Bay on a sunny weekend, you'll know it's a simply divine place to be - all sparkling harbour, amazing views and wide timber boardwalks. Now there's an added incentive to be there: on Sunday October 11, luxury hotel Pier One Sydney Harbour are kicking off their inaugural Delicious Destinations festival.

Designed with foodies in mind, the festival will take over the wharf with live music and stalls from local Walsh Bay eateries and the farmers who supply seasonal produce to Pier One's restaurant, The Gantry. Australian wineries and distilleries will also be setting up shop, including Cloudy Bay, Lowe Wines and Archie Rose, who'll be hosting cocktail making classes.

You can bring your puppy, too: because Pier One is one of Sydney's few dog-friendly hotels, the festival is setting up a Dogue corner with gourmet treats and pampering for pets (no cats allowed). There'll also be market stalls selling fresh flowers and other wares.

Delicious Destinations takes place from 12pm on October 11, but if you miss it, make sure you get down there at some point this season for the hotel's Summer Pier Pressure sessions (aka harbourside sundowners) every Sunday from October.
