Negroni enthusiasts, this one's for you: from June 1-7 (as in, right now), your drink of choice will be on everyone's lips. Negroni Week has just launched in Australia, following two successful years internationally. But the week isn't just a celebration of the bittersweet orange tipple - it's designed to raise funds for charities across the world.
Launched in 2013 by Imbibe magazine, Negroni Week asks restaurants and bars to donate $1 from each Negroni sold to a charity of their choice. Campari have since come on board and the list of participating venues has boomed - from 100 in the first year to almost 2000, with over $120,000 raised.

Venues across Australia are getting in on the action, from Palmer & Co (donating to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital's LALTHAM Fund), Casoni (Beyond Blue), Mad Pizza e Bar (Sydney Children's Hospital) and Opera Bar (Canteen) in Sydney to 1806 (Cancer Council Victoria) and Gin Palace (Diabetes Australia) in Melbourne. The venue that raises the most funds will have an extra $5000 donated to their charity by Campari Australia. Visit negroniweek.com to find out which bars and restaurants are getting involved.
