The masters of the little pleated parcels of succulent goodness, Din Tai Fung, are bringing Christmas dinner of a different kind to Sydney and Melbourne this year, with the launch of their Christmas banquets and limited edition Christmas dumplings. And yes - they're red and green.

The red dumpling is a shrimp and calamari mix and the green is filled with baby bok choy, beans, water chestnut, vermicelli and mushrooms, and before you cry artificial colouring, they're made using all natural fruit and vegetable dyes.

There are two banquet options on offer from now until December 31, the Sparkling Christmas ($48pp) and Festive Celebration ($38pp). Both include Din Tai Fung faves like xiao long bao, green beans with minced pork and mango pudding, as well as wine, with the Sparkling Christmas including welcome mocktails and the deluxe black truffle pork dumplings.
