But lucky for Art Gallery of New South Wales goers, all-star celeb chef/restaurateur/author Matt Moran doesn't subscribe to the art-galleries-don't-do-food school of thought and supplies the flavour goods via his contemporary casual restaurant, Chiswick at the Gallery.
If you haven't been yet, now is definitely the time to go, Head Chef Laura Baratto has just debuted a mouth-watering new spring menu. Calling on the seasonal produce driven mantra all Moran's dining destinations are known (and loved) for the menu showcases all good things growing in the garden and on the farm right now. Tastebud highlights include nibbles like scorched cauliflower with date and toasted almonds, fresh juicy heirloom tomatoes stacked with olive, marjoram, and lavender, a large share plate of roasted Humpty Doo barramundi tail with charred cos and grapefruit, and just try saying no to the dessert plate of chocolate, salted caramel and popcorn.
