Australia’s top restaurants 2017: who totally dominated?
Online restaurant booking and review app, OpenTable, has revealed the top 50 restaurants in Australia for 2017 and the winner is... Sydney!
The app analysed over 70,000 verified OpenTable restaurant reviews for more than 1,500 Australian restaurants and all signs point to Sydney. The harbour town had a strong 25 restaurants in the top 50, followed by the sunshine state, Queensland who beat out Melbourne for second place. To be fair, it's tough for Melbourne to beat a state that can include restaurants from holiday paradise Noosa Heads in their pool.
As for what we've loved dining out on, it's all about spiced-up Asian chow and fresh, modern Australian.
