Another wine festival? Wine not!?
Would you call yourself a wine lover? You know the difference between a pinot gris and a pinot grigio is more than just a couple of letters, you're willing to spend another eight or nine dollars on a mixed blend or malbec over a pinot noir, and while your friends have called you a 'wine snob' on more than one occasion and laughed it off, you secretly hold that title with pride. Well mark November 18-19 in your calendar because we have the festival for you.
Vino Paradiso is returning to The Rocks in Sydney and it's bringing with it over 500 wines from 50 of Australia's best wineries to satisfy your inner wine snob. Sip on merlot, throw down a sav blac and rosé-all-day to your hearts content. The festival will host over 100 exhibitor stalls including exclusive food and beverage collaborations from Black Star Pastry & The Rocks Brewing Co, Burgers By Josh & Young Henry's and Simmone Logue & Torbreck Wine.
Limited spots will be available for a dinner in the sky, which is exactly what it sounds like; patrons are strapped into a dining setting suspended high above Sydney Harbour. The views from here are of course unparalleled and unlike any other.
Perhaps the best part? Vino Paradiso is free to enter, however the event is expecting in excess of 50,000 visitors so you and your wine glass are going to want to get in early.
When: Saturday, November 18 - Sunday, November 19.
Where: The Rocks
Cost: Free. Bookings for the dinner in the sky are required and will be available closer to the date here.
