All aboard: Melbourne gets a floating pop-up bar on the Yarra River
Party island
A waterborne extension to the city's popular Arbory Bar & Eatery, which it's positioned next to, Arbory Afloat is an island bar with a breezy resort vibe that's made for sunny days and balmy nights. Open from 11am until late every day and licensed to hold up to 120, it offers laidback live tunes care of Melbourne musicians Chico G and Paul Jager and the kind of cocktail list that will keep you lingering for hours, with drinks like the White Grapefruit Paloma (Tromba tequila, lime, white grapefruit juice, a splash of soda and a slice of pink grapefruit) and Nautical Rose (Lillet Rose with a dash of lemonade over ice and garnished with fresh orange).

They'll also be serving up French champagne to go with the freshly shucked oysters, caviar, lobster rolls and Moreton Bay bugs on the menu, which also features a selection of charcoal-roasted skewers thanks to a Konro grill on board. For dessert, try the Ile Flottante (Floating Island) of poached meringue floating on white chocolate anglaise with fresh raspberries. Visit arbory.com.au for more details.
