Well if this isn't the best idea we've heard in a very long time - a dazzling new eatery with a blissed-out spa onsite - why didn't anyone think of this sooner?

Usually to find your bliss and a bite of lunch, a ton of travel to a far-flung island resort is required. But, the team behind The Botanica Vaucluse have taken the tedious travel part out and are offering eats and wellness in one stunning location, right in the heart of Sydney's eastern suburbs.

Freshly opened, this new foodie and lifestyle destination includes farm-to-fork restaurant, The Botanica Vaucluse, escape-from-reality spa, Sol Spa, and also set to open very soon, Farm Valley Café.

This dreamy inner-city destination is committed to using in-season, wholesome produce from local growers which is weaved through every part of The Botanica Vaucluse from the food they serve to their house-made gin to every aspect of wellness at the Sol Spa.

Executive chef Perry Hill is the man behind The Botanica Vaucluse restaurant kitchen and in creating the menu focused on three or four in-season ingredients in each dish, with the produce mostly sourced from the on-site kitchen garden or the Jamberoo Valley Farm, which is part of The Botanica Vaucluse family.

As for what's on the menu think: warm spanner crab salad; seared kingfish with romesco dressing and grilled capsicum; sweat potato gnocchi with soft goats cheese and pesto; roast lamb rump with smoked eggplant and feta.

An inventive line-up of sips are also on offer with house specialities like the 'lemon myrtle gimlet' a zesty mix of Coopers Gin and house-made lemon myrtle syrup.
