Look no further: the Madame - World of Emilio Pucci edition is guaranteed to turn heads - and get house guests whipping their phones out in delight. We first reported on this all-dressed-up version of Philippe Starck's iconic piece of furniture back in April 2015, when it made its debut at Milan's annual design fair Salone del Mobile, and this month, it's finally making its way to Australia.
The polycarbonate chairs are upholstered with Pucci's limited edition Cities of the World collection of scarves, which abstractly reference the four cities in which Pucci boutiques can be found: New York, Paris, Rome and Shanghai. Each of the four chairs in the collection pays homage to one of these cities, worked back with either black or transparent legs.
Instantly iconic, Pucci's Madame chairs look set to replicate the success of Starck's previous collaborations with fashion houses - his 2005 Mademoiselle chair design was reimagined by both Missoni and Moschino, as well as, more bizarrely, Lenny Kravitz. The Madame chairs retail for $1190 from Kartell; find them at Space Furniture and Kartell's Chatswood Chase store.
