With rugby World Cup fervour reaching fever pitch -we've found just the accessory to prove it...

If you're as glued to your TV screens as the rest of the world's rugby fans are, you probably cheered the Wallabies' win against Wales over the weekend and are more than thrilled about their entry into the World Cup quarter final. And it looks like Karl Lagerfeld has been watching the games closely too, if this special edition Chanel rugby ball is anything to go by.

Made over in luxe leather and featuring the house's iconic quilting and lettering, the rugby balls are probably not suitable for kicking around your local park on a Sunday afternoon, but more a collector's item you'd proudly display in your pool room (if you had one). Given that the French house's founder, Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel was a mad sportswoman herself, if she were alive today, we think she'd be as proud as punch to see her namesake so lovingly rendered as a sporting accessory.
