Since Jonathan Anderson has taken the realm as Creative Director at LOEWE, he has reinvented the Spanish luxury house and injected the 'cool' factor into the brand. And now Anderson's love affair with Spanish artistic heritage continues as LOEWE are set to launch a series of leather bowls, celebrating the label's key material.
The bowls made by Spanish craftsman and leather expert, José Luis Bazan, were inspired by the work of legendary potter Lucie Rie, and are a modern twist on the traditional techniques used by Rie. Each bowl is handmade to create unique, one-of-a-kind vessels that embody the brand's minimal and modern design aesthetic. In a colour palette of black, neutrals and pops of yellow, 50 sets of three bowls will be sold. The brand describes the bowls as, "an ensemble that plays with scale and perception, blurring the boundary between sculpture and design."
Anderson has forever been a fan of Rie's work and saw this a personal project, stamping each bowl with a "J" and the LOEWE logo.
They're definitely a collector's item worth adding to your wishlist.
