Celebrated architect Dame Zaha Hadid died of a sudden heart attack in Miami this morning - in honour of her tragic passing, we take a look at some of her most iconic work and legacy she has left behind

The Iraqi-born Brit had been admitted to hospital for a bout of bronchitis. Her company website released a statement saying, "It is with great sadness that Zaha Hadid Architects have confirmed that dame Zaha Hadid, DBE does suddenly in Miami in the early hours this morning. She had contracted bronchitis earlier this week and suffered a sudden heart attack while being treated in hospital."

Widely regarded as the best female architects in the world, Hadid was known for her bold designs, which often included sensuous curves and an other-worldly aesthetic.
