Some of Australia's biggest beauties go on display tonight for an exhibition with a special story

It will be a bittersweet moment for model, artist and Buro contributor Amy Finalyson when 2018 Calendar Girls (the mural) is revealed at Bondi Beach Public Bar this evening. The project was originally conceived by Amy and the late fashion designer Richard Nicoll before he tragically passed away due to heart failure in 2016. In a move that honours their friendship and his legacy, Amy opted to partner with artist Bartolomeo Celestino to bring the 2018 Calendar Girls project to life.

Shooting 12 local, yet renowned models such as Nicole Trunfio, Jess Gomes and Samantha Harris across Australia, the US and UK, it's a project grand in scope and message. In addition to honouring the memory of Richard Nicoll, all proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be donated to the National Heart Foundation.

For tonight's exhibition, the black and white portraits have been re-interpreted by Sydney artists and creatives like Anthony Lister, Dion Horstmans, Dina Broadhurst and model/activist Ollie Henderson. The works will be on display at BBPB until the end of February, so make sure you check them out.

BBPB is located at 203/180 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach.
