For those of us who can’t afford the flight to Italy
Put together a salumi plate, pour yourself a nice glass of chianti and prepare for a feast - gastronomic and and otherwise.
Open through to mid-July of this year, the Palazzo della Cività Italiana have announced a collaborative exhibit between the fashion house Fendi and contemporary Italian artist Giuseppe Penone.
Entitled Matrice, the free-to-the-public exhibition merges innovation, tradition, craftsmanship and creativity through sculptures that draw upon nature, using materials such as wood, wax, leather, marble and bronze to explore themes of ecology and conservation.
Tremendous in scale and housed in the monumental and exquisite surrounds of the Palazzo, the works are nothing if not thought-provoking and serene.
