Avert your eyes, you muted make-up lovers, because the time for bare and bronzed lids is over - and rainbow brights are back! Fashion heavyweights Versace, Missoni, Giambattista Valli, Marc Jacobs and Max Mara all flashed pastel pinks, greens and orange painterly eyes in their S/S '16 shows - and the hero colour on the runway was royal blue.

Here, I'll show you how to wear the season's colours in three different (but all easy!) ways. But first, your base: create a flawless face with primer, foundation and concealer (my favourites at the minute are Arbonne Make-up Primer, NARS All Day Weightless Foundation and Estée Lauder Perfectionist Youth Infusing Brightening Serum & Concealer). Spray your brush with the MAC Fix + Spray to dampen and tap it into your choice of bold shade (my pick is Evidence or Deep End). Starting on the outer corner of the eye, press the colour along your lids. Voila - a long-wearing liner that gives you a jolt of colour. Finish by curling lashes and adding loads of mascara.

2. A rosy wash
You will need:
Josie Maran Coconut Watercolour Eyeshadow in Playa del Pink, Rainforest Green or Polynesian Purple
A small flat brush (or you can use your finger)

The only party season make-up trend you need to master

A stained, dewy eye has been a popular look lately and it's such a great way to add colour without looking overdone. Shake this product really well so the colour applies evenly on the eye, and apply lightly with your finger lightly or dab it on with a brush. It will set to create a gorgeously sheer watercolour effect.

For the more adventurous (and your next Christmas party), try applying the Elizabeth Arden Cream Eyeshadow around the entire lash line, building its strength closest to the eye and blending lighter out. This shade of aqua suits every eye shade. Add intensity with the Kiki electric blue pencil in the waterline to finish off the bold smokey effect.
