Why you’ll want a piece of Chanel’s sunny spring collection
Shiny newness
Sunset Boulevard. Griffith Park. Beverley Hills. There are a million things that spring to mind when one thinks of Los Angeles, but when it came to Chanel's inspiration for their spring 2016 collection - nothing beat the stunning pigments of a Californian sunset. Keeping the super-saturated hues of LA's architecture, greenery and skyline front of mind, Chanel's L.A. Sunrise Collection captures the unbridled early-morning energy of the enigmatic US city.

The collection, swathed in unmistakably luxe Chanel packaging, features their famous Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow palette in 'Tissé Beverly Hills' shades of iridescent turquoise, mauve, aubergine and beige - a nod to LA's Pacific Ocean outlook. An exclusive Sunkiss Ribbon creation - set to work wonders as a highlighter, blush or finishing veil - calls to mind the famous sunset, while three shimmering shades of Illusion D'ombre have SoCal names like Moonlight Pink, Griffith Green and Ocean Light.

You'll also find the Stylo Yeux Waterproof liner in metallic shades of violet, cerulean and moss green, and a Le Volume De Chanel mascara made over in Ardent Purple. For the lips, Rouge Coco Shine scores three brilliant sunset-influenced hues of tangerine, candy pink and raspberry, and Sunrise Trip offers a bold amethyst shine to your digits.
While we'd happily add these babies to our make-up case now, the Chanel L.A. Sunrise collection doesn't hit counters until January 10. For more info head to chanel.com
