In the fashion world, Helmut Newton is the god of photography - his provocative and hypersexualised images of women were the pillars of Vogue and Vanity Fair issues for most of the '60s and '70s. So in honour of the late photographer, M.A.C Cosmetics have launched a collection titled Limited Edition - a nine-piece make-up line inspired by the works of Helmut Newton.

The make-up collection focuses on the lips, eyes and nails with a handful of Newton's most iconic photographs featured on the packaging. It contains a sultry eye-shadow palette made up of four different shades of brown, rouge lip lacquers, a jet-black liner and mascara, and nail polish inspired by his homes in Monte Carlo (a bright ruby red) and Berlin (a plum purple).

M.A.C Cosmetics' creative director James Gager explains, "I have always greatly admired Helmut Newton's work - the precision and glamour of his images, as well as the strength and elegance of the women that he photographed," he says. "It is an honour to be able to create a make-up collection that captures his provocative vision in a M.A.C way."
