Is inclusive, diversity-rich make-up revolutionary? You don't have try hard to convince us, but we were definitely pleasantly surprised to hear that Time magazine is on the same page. Naming Rihanna's Fenty Beauty foundation range as one of its 25 Best Inventions of 2017, the magazine waxed lyrical about the hefty, 40-shade foundation range, which caters for the darkest brown to porcelain skin colours (and is largely unheard of in the beauty industry). Indeed, the diversity of the ad campaign, which featured women of various colours and ethnicities, has also been heralded as nothing short of groundbreaking, too.

Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty scores another amazing accolade

Speaking to Time about her super successful foray into beauty (read our verdict on the range here), the R&B superstar explained how she has "100 percent involvement in this process, which is what makes this so special and very fun." Explaining the idea behind Fenty Beauty, she added, "It was also important that every woman felt included in this brand. We are all so different, with our own unique skin tones, so we started with the 40 foundation shades out the gate."

Trust RiRi to know intrinsically what women need. She's also in good company, with Apple's iPhone X, Oculus Go and Tesla Model 3 among Time's Best Inventions for 2017.
