Going natural

L'Oreal's latest product range is all about natural beauty

If you've ever wondered whether the chemical-laden products in your beauty bag are doing more harm than good, then this is the hair range you've been waiting for. L'Oréal have developed a new collection of 100 per cent sulphate-free  shampoos, conditioners and styling products under their Hair Expertise umbrella.

Designed to treat dry, damaged, coloured and frizz-prone tresses, the products in the range rely on botanical oils in place of harsh sulphates, salts and detergents, which can strip hair of its natural oils. There are six shampoo and conditioner sets in the range: the anti-fade PureColour Moisture and PureColour Volume for coloured locks; the rosemary oil-enriched EverStrong for damaged hair; Supersleek with sunflower seed oil to tame frizzy tresses and UltraRich, a gentle formula to coax dry and dull hair back into optimum condition.

There are also three new sulphate-free styling products, including the EverStrong Mineral Salt Texturising Spray, UltraRich Precious Oil Mist (Buro's pick for instant shine without the grease factor) and SuperSleek Smoothing Blow Dry Mist for heat protection.

Fronting the campaign is L'Oréal's new Australian ambassador Megan Gale. "I have always been a big believer in taking care of myself both inside and out" she says. "To be the face of Hair Expertise is such a perfect fit for me as the whole philosophy behind this range is all about creating a lifestyle choice that's better for you."
