When one the most luxurious fashion houses in the world launches a perfume - the first in 88 years - naturally, the project is kept top secret. And when that house is Louis Vuitton? One can only expect the utmost level craftsmanship and attention to detail. Last month, we revealed details about the hush hush project, including the news that the collection features seven fragrances, and today the French brand has revealed the first glimpse of the advertising campaign starring Gallic actress (and latest Pirelli calendar star) Léa Seydoux.

For the starkly beautiful and simple campaign portrait, Louis Vuitton's newest brand ambassador travelled to Lone Creek Falls in South Africa and was shot by Patrick Demarchelier. As Seydoux explains in the press release, heading back to nature for the campaign was natural course of action. "Louis Vuitton is about travel, but it's also about dreams. Its spirit blends adventure, discovery and emotion," she explains. "I am very honoured to embody this universe."

The first campaign image highlights the Rose des Vents parfum, but there are six other fragrances in the range, including Turbulences, Dans la Peau, Apogée, Contre Moi, Matière Noire and Mille Feux. With the full campaign rolling out from September 15, expect more striking images to come.
