It's the first global advertising campaign 27-year-old Lily James has secured, but with her classic beauty and famous charm, it's unlikely to be her last. "Shooting my first campaign was so special - I don't want to give away too much but I had a lot of fun showing a different side of myself," James says in the brand's release.

Her Burberry debut won't be revealed until August, when a film and series of images shot by Mario Testino will launch for My Burberry Black, a new perfume for women by Christopher Bailey and famed perfumer Francis Kurkdjian.

Bailey seems quite captivated by the British actress, saying "I'm so delighted to have worked with the very lovely and clever Lily James on our new My Burberry campaign. I have admired her work for quite some time and was bowled over by her wonderful charm and her warmth when we met." James follows in the footsteps of My Burberry faces Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne.
