Back in September it was revealed that the red-lipped queen of punk rock, Gwen Stefani, was dipping her (freshly manicured) toes into a make-up collaboration with none other than Urban Decay - and the internet went crazy with anticipation. And now it's here: presenting the Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette, a limited edition assortment of 15 colours, including three Urban Decay originals and 12 brand new shades.

Stefani is said to have been heavily involved in the creative process and dreamt up the shades based on the colours she wished she had. The names are inspired by her songs and illustrious career, from the metallic yellow-gold 1987 (the year No Doubt formed) to the matte taupe Anaheim (where she grew up), Punk (a '90s-esque reddish brown) and Harajuku (metallic blue-pink with iridescent shimmer).
Good old Gwennie even designed the pop-tastic packaging, which is inspired by the star's obsession with monochrome graphics and antique gold. The Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette, $95, hits Mecca stores from December 26; visit mecca.com.au.
Original story: Amidst the chaos that is LFW, cult Brit brand Urban Decay have not-so-quietly announced their first ever celebrity collaboration - with none other than the red-lipped rock queen Gwen Stefani. Turns out Urban Decay's founding partner and CCO Wende Zomnir has been a MASSIVE fan girl from day one, announcing on her Instagram account: "I've been a fan of Gwen's since we met in the early days of No Doubt and I'm so excited to announce our collaboration! We've created some amazing makeup together and I can't wait to share it with you."
But wait we must - at least until December 26 when the limited edition collection hits Australian shelves. No word yet on what Stefani has been cooking up, but we're expecting a killer red lip and the kind of make-up that stops traffic.
