Gwyneth Paltrow has dabbled in the lucrative fragrance category with candle collaborations before, and now the actress-turned-wellness-mogul that everyone loves to hate has turned her hand to all-natural perfume. But by the sounds of things, it isn't at all what you'd expect - in that it's less fresh floral notes or yoga studio ylang-ylang, and more "sexy church scents" - whatever that means.

"Gorgeous, wintery, mystical" is how Goop.com describes Edition 01, adding that it's completely free of artificial ingredients - which, it has to be said, is rare in the perfume world. "We are going to do four for the year. We're starting with winter, and then spring, summer, and fall," Paltrow told NY Mag's The Cut.

With Edition 01, Paltrow hopes to offer a luxury alternative to the current all-natural fragrance offering.  "It's not just rubbing lavender oil on yourself from the health-food store," she says. "This is a way that we can create something that was non-toxic and stay within the ethos of Goop, offering the modern woman a better, cleaner version of a typical scent. But it's complex, romantic, sexy, cozy, and all of these things."

Edition 01 launches officially on November 15, but you can sign up for early access on Goop
