After 25 years, make-up maven Bobbi Brown has announced she will be stepping down from her company Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. The company was previously sold in 1995 to estée lauder companies, inc., with Brown still heavily involved in the make-up label. However the beauty veteran has decided to leave her namesake brand to begin a new yet-to-be-announced endeavour.

According to allure.com, it was when Bobbi reached her twenty-five year milestone that she realised it was time to begin a new chapter. "I am thankful for the extraordinary people that I've had the privilege to work with over the years and proud of the creative endeavours and innovative products we've created together", Brown explained in a statement. "I am also incredibly grateful to the estee lauder companies and the lauder family for the many opportunities they gave me. I'm excited to see what the future holds."

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics has been a leading make-up label and staple in many girls' vanities for over two decades. Her line was responsible for some of the most ground-breaking and praised products on the market, like the legendary gel pot eyeliner and also pioneering a compact highlighter with its best-seller, the shimmer brick.
