The announcement came via press release with L'Oréal USA president of international designer collections, Alexandre Choueiri, saying, "Adam Levine is the perfect fit for the brand and what our new fragrance Y represents. A star of the music world, a familiar face on our screens, a true talent, he brings a new dimension to YSL Beauty."

Levine's plate is already overflowing with gigs as lead singer for Grammy-winning pop band Maroon 5, a coach on hugely popular TV show The Voice, as well as husband to Victoria's Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo, dad to one-year-old Dusty Rose and another baby on the way.

But Levine seems exactly like the kind of guy who could effortlessly keep all those balls in the air if his track record of one day being on The Voice and the next playing a sold-out stadium with his band without breaking a sweat is any indication.

And so it makes perfect sense that this multi-tasking, multi-talented creative would be tapped to front a modern masculine scent. Y was released in August and was inspired by the current, "...creative generation of men who... follow their own passions and carve their own paths. From inspiration, through hard work and collaboration, to self-accomplishment and success." Which sounds pretty much like Levine in a bottle.
