But this month, we thought we'd share our all-time favourites - the absolute essentials we can't imagine facing the day without. Narrowing it down to just three each was no easy task (so we don't have the most streamlined beauty routines...) but here they are: the MVPs of our bathroom cabinets (this season, at least).

1. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All Over Miracle Oil, $36
I've only used a few other body oils that have either irritated my skin or left me feeling greasy. The Elizabeth Arden eight hour oil spray has literally changed my life! It sprays a perfectly fine mist of oil that rubs in well and leaves skin soft, subtle and not greasy! I'm obsessed with it.
2. Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser, $49
I've been using the same body wash for years. The scent, the packaging, the texture - it's perfect!
3. ghd IV styler, $240
I have naturally wavy hair and could not live without my ghd to straighten the kinks out every morning... it's essential when you have short hair.

1. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink, $38
Winged eyeliner is my thing and this is one of the few liners that stays put on my eyelids, which tend to smudge easily (yay). I've tried MANY gel, liquid and kohl liners over the years, but this has real staying power, without being a nightmare to get off at the end of the day.
2. La Mer The Lip Balm, $95
I'm a lip balm addict from waaaaay back and don't really leave the house without it. A friend recommended La Mer to me and it was love at first swipe. While pricey, it's got a thick, creamy consistency and a slightly minty taste, which I dig. It doesn't wipe off easily and doesn't leave a weird white cast on your lips. In short, it's a treat.
3. M.A.C Studio Fix Foundation in NC30, $50
The shade is really natural (i.e close to looking like actual skin), it's long-wearing, provides good coverage and works for my shine-prone skin. Oh, and it's oil-free and doesn't cause breakouts - winner.

1. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, $95
I've recently returned to Luminous Silk after a year of cheating on it with other, fuller coverage products, and it's so nice to be back. I get more compliments on my skin with this on than anything else - due, I'm sure, to its natural-looking, buildable formula and subtle luminous finish. Provided I set it with powder (Laura Mercier is my go-to), it stays all day, even on my oil-prone skin.
2. Shu Uemura Tokyo Lash Mascara, $38
This is the ultimate tubular mascara - it never looks clumpy and volumises each lash, plus it washes off with warm water in little tubes (goodbye, panda eyes!). Sisley's So Curl is a close second.
3. Ultraceuticals Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF 30 Mattifying, $74
I've written enough articles on sun damage to know never to leave the house without SPF, and this is my daily slip, slop, slap of choice. It's designed for oily skin so it's not remotely greasy, leaves no white film and absorbs quickly, leaving a smooth base for make-up.
