Spring saviours: 5 skin heroes to shake up your routine
New season=new skin
Blame winter heating or the cold and dry air, but it's more than likely your face has aged a few centuries over the last few months. Luckily, it's not hard to reverse your complexion woes and lift those dead layers away and get your skin ready for spring/summer 2015. Here, I bring you five products to give you a flawless and rejuvenated face for spring.

1. The cleanser
It's all about multi-tasking in beauty, if you ask me. Philosophy Miracle Worker, $45, mecca.com.au, is my favourite cleanser/masque at the moment - not only does it remove any extra make-up on the face but it also lifts away any dead or dry winter skin. The key ingredient in this hardworking product is the lactic acid, which is one of the greatest all natural wonders for removing dull skin. Use daily for cleansing, leave it on for a few minutes to allow the acid to work its magic, then wipe off with a warm face towel.
2. The day cream
If budget is no problem and you're looking for a game changer in your daily skincare - look no further. La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Eye Cream, $425, laprairie.com.au, has a rich, decadent texture that glides on then absorbs into a mattifying finish without any hint of oiliness. It also contains a light reflecting illuminator (perfect for nailing the strobing trend - read about it here). Hydrating and lifting, it prevents further ageing with a unique and rare ingredient list of white truffle, golden caviar and white honey. A price tag not for all wallets, but reasonable once you see the results.

3. The facial serum
The serum is incredible in this dragon's blood range from UK skincare favourite Rodial. Dragon's Blood XXL Advanced Sculpting Serum, £125, rodial.co.uk, works by visibly plumping and instantly hydrating skin with hyaluronic acid, dragon's blood (the red sap from the Socotra tree) and peptides that work together to fight signs of ageing. This is my go-to skin pick me up and is best applied at night before your night cream.
4. The night cream
Boasting a lovely lightweight texture and intensely hydrating powers, Elemis Pro-Intense Lift Effect Night Cream, $250, elemisaustralia.com.au, is an award winner. A powerful combination of botanical stem cells and patented ingredients make it a night cream keeper, with 75 per cent of users saying it leaves skin looking firmer. Apply on cleansed skin (and after your serum) at night.

5. The resurfacer
I swear by this cult product for giving a serious glow and plumpness back into my skin. Philosophy The Microdelivery Peel, $95, mecca.com.au, uses a blend of natural acids and uplifting vitamin C to resurface tired skin and soften fine lines caused by dryness. It comes in two parts: first, apply the vitamin C masque and massage for 60 seconds, then work in the warming acid gel, leaving on for 2-3 minutes. Rinse off to reveal skin with a smoother, more refined texture.
