One of the lingerie brand's most famous Angels, the blonde and blue-eyed Candice Swanepoel always looks flawless, on and off the red carpet
So naturally, we were desperate to find out exactly how she does it. Maybe it's her upbringing (Swanepoel grew up on a farm in South Africa before trading in the simple life for high-voltage stardom) but it turns out the photogenic 26-year-old favours natural beauty treatments (just wait 'til you read the list of oils she swears by) and time-old skincare rules. She can also work her way around a make-up kit like a total pro (unsurprising given she's a Max Factor global ambassador). Of course, we couldn't resist asking her to dish a bit of Victoria's Secret goss either. Read on to find out the products Swanepoel can't live without, and scroll her best beauty looks in our gallery above.
What does your beauty regime involve?
Because I wear a lot of make-up for work it's really important to keep my skin clean, so I start by removing my make-up with coconut oil, then cleanse with a natural face wash with tea tree oil and green tea extracts, tone with rosewater spray and them moisturise with a Biotherm moisture serum. I get a facial once a month religiously too.
It's not just what I put on my face though, it's about what I put in. I make beauty smoothies at home for anything I think is missing in my diet. For my hair I use cold-pressed olive oil, avocado oil and Argan oil when it needs a bit of TLC. The two things my mum taught me were that you can never be too young to start taking care of your skin and to never sleep with my make-up on.

What's the secret to give a classic VS Angel kiss?
The secret is to do whatever comes most naturally to you, it doesn't have to be perfect. Red lipstick is a great trick to really accentuate your lips - Max Factor Lipfinity Lipstick [available in Australia this month] gives me smooth, soft lips with a great pigment and I like Max Factor's All Day Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation - it's a great multi-tasking product that stays put.
What's your style inspiration?
So many things inspire me! I walk the streets in New York City and am inspired by the different unique styles on women that walk by. Culture and colour inspire me too.
Describe yourself in three words.
Adventurous, laidback, intense.
How did you feel during your first ever Victoria's Secret Fashion Show?
For any model, the Victoria's Secret show is such a huge platform with a lot of publicity. Just to be part of it, it's such a big production, it's every girl's fantasy.
What do you want to say to the new generation of models born after 1995?
A lot of things can get lost in translation in media or on social, so it's important to show what's true to you. On social media you can show many different sides to yourself - you need to stay true to yourself.
