And now Marilyn Monroe is inspiring the brand yet again, with the announcement that the late actress is the brand's new glamour ambassador. It was Factor who, back in 1935, gave Monroe her now distinctive look - sexy red pout, dramatically lined eyes, platinum blonde curls and all.

To celebrate, Global Creative Design Director and one of the world's most renowned make-up artists Pat McGrath has recreated Monroe's timeless make-up look on of-the-moment model Candice Swanepoel. Here, she reveals how it's done:

Step 1: Apply Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless Foundation with a brush around the T-zone, then use the warmth of your fingertips to smooth the foundation into the face. Use a smaller brush to layer up and perfect any imperfections.

Step 2: Apply Max Factor Excess Intensity Eyeliner in black at the top lash line and subtly winged at the outer corner.

Step 3: Exaggerate lashes with a slick of Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara, combing through from root to tip of the lashes to instantly separate and build volume.

Step 4: Frame eyes with high, elegantly arched brows like Marilyn's, using Max Factor Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel.

Step 5: Kickstart siren red lips by outlining the lips using Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Liner in Red Rush.

Step 6: Follow up with Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Ruby Tuesday applied over the lip line, across the lips and also on the inner parts. Finish with a slick of gloss to emphasize the idea of high octane glamour.

Step 7: Complete the look with your own version of her iconic beauty spot with a touch of Max Factor Kohl Pencil in Brown added to the left of the nose on the cheek.
