In her debut as the face of Chanel make-up, Kristen Stewart models the game-changing new mascara you're going to want in your kit

It's the universal answer to that 'can't leave the house without' question and the greats - think Maybelline Great Lash or Lancome Hypnôse - sell somewhere every second. We're always on the hunt for an even better new mascara, and you know what? It's here.

Chanel has unveiled an extensive collection of eye make-up that includes the mascara we've been waiting for. Dimensions de Chanel has a fluid, elastic texture that clings to lashes without clumping, serving to lengthen, curl and thicken simultaneously. The formula contains hydrophobic agents so it resists humidity (did someone say workout essential?) and a mix of beeswax and paraffin wax to give it its hold. It also conditions lashes, thanks to a mix of peptides and vitamins. Is there anything it can't do? Maybe don't use it to brush your teeth.

The Eyes Collection 2016 also includes a brow kit, consisting of two brown powders, miniature Chanel-embossed tweezers, brush and powder applicator, as well as three new Les 4 Ombres shadow palettes and new Stylo eyeshadow sticks to create natural-looking, smoky, vibrant and bold eyes.

Interestingly for a beauty campaign, the imagery has been shot in black and white, by - who else? - Mario Testino. Scroll the full campaign, in which Stewart embodies the various facets of the contemporary Chanel muse, above.
